Balisle Family Law Legal Counsel, S.C. Provides Support to The Rainbow Project's Work With Abused Children and their Families

Attorney Linda Balisle of Balisle Family Law Legal Counsel, S.C. has dedicated time and money to The Rainbow Project since it opened in 1980. Now celebrating 35 years of service in Madison/Dane County. The Rainbow Project assists children, adults, their families, and caregivers who have experienced trauma. This extends to events such as domestic violence, sex trafficking or exploitation, neglect, children endangered due to drug use, natural disasters, child physical or sexual abuse, and serious accidents.

For more than three decades now, The Rainbow Project has been providing specialized trauma recovery care for the children as well as their families. Currently, there are over 10 different programs available. The staff, including volunteers and various other support systems, have been conducting research into early childhood brain development and neurobiology research.

Two new projects are currently in place:

  • The Rapid Response Team – Provides emergency crisis support for children.
  • Smart Start – Strives to improve school attendance for youths who face various challenges that prevent them from education. The program works with four Madison-area schools.

The Rainbow Project has been serving the community since 1980 and works with 20 early child development programs. The staff of The Rainbow Project regularly gives presentations for training purposes on local, state, national, and international levels. The organization is partnered with several different community service agencies, including the Children’s Mental Health Collaborative, Children of Violent Homes Project, Dane County Trauma Informed Summit Initiative, Dane County Child Abuse Community Coordinated Response (CCR), and the Domestic Violence Coordinated Community Response (CCR).
